I initially developed an interest in trees while on a photography day trip in Sauk Rapids. I really became appreciative of trees during a trip to Savannah, Georgia, where the boulevards are lined with magnolias and the squares are dominated by stately live oaks. From there, I began a path into urban forestry where I worked in the Twin Cities doing plant health care, pruning, removals, and consulting.

I enjoy the educational aspect of my profession – talking with homeowners about the landscapes they love and take comfort in. Rainbow Treecare helps grow that passion for education with continued training and science-based approaches to its practice of arboriculture.

When I’m not talking trees, I’m spending time with my wife and children – one son and one daughter.
