Hi, I’m Sarah Burgess, Consulting Arborist for Rainbow Treecare. My love for trees started as a child living in Duluth and led me to The University of Minnesota where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Urban Forestry and a minor in Forest Resources. While attending college, I worked as a tree inspector for the City of St Louis Park and earned my ISA certification in 2001. After graduating in 2002, I worked in the private sector learning tree climbing, removals, shrub pruning, oak wilt, and Dutch elm disease management, and consulting. I worked at Rainbow Treecare from 2008 – 2013 and returned in November of 2016. I am passionate about trees and people and feel incredibly fortunate to do what I love every day. I am very proud to be part of such a knowledgeable company.

Outside of work, you can find me outdoors with my husband, two children, and our dog. I am fascinated with large cottonwood trees and I often search for them along the Minnesota River.  I’m an avid gardener and I love to cook.
